About the Instructor
Little Bookworms is the result of my passion for developing literacy in children. I have a joy for learning and teaching and want to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with you and your child. With over nine years of experience as a classroom K-2 teacher and a strong reading and writing background, I have always strived to find engaging ways of instructing children in the essential skills needed for future reading success. I have led parent workshops and trained and modeled lessons for teachers based on best-practice and current reading research. In addition, I have created newsletters that strengthen the home-school connection and give parents and caretakers the tools they need to help develop literacy at home. My hope is that Little Bookworms supports your child's reading and writing development in a fun and engaging way and sets them on the path to becoming a lifelong learner!
